Welcome to Transart, the unschool art school that champions open-minded independent thinking and experimentation embodying the ideas that participation in a vibrant and current graduate experience requires nomadic possibilities untethered to geography. Thanks for visiting.

Start your MFA this January with Advanced Standing:
One semester of advanced standing may be granted for graduate level work from accredited institutions if your completed course work relates to Transart’s MFA program course content and pending evaluation. Professional experience will not be considered for advanced standing. Please detail the graduate level courses from your transcript(s) that you want considered. You will also need to provide official course descriptions or syllabi (files or relevant website links).

Fast Track to the Low-Residency Creative Practice PhD Next Year:
Particularly focussed students who have achieved an MFA level creative thesis project in the first year and aim to progress to the Transart MPhil/PhD program will be invited to develop—in negotiation with an advisory team—their MPhil/PhD proposal. Successful completion of this stream will culminate in the candidate’s Research Project Approval. The student then begins their creative practice research in earnest.
