Quick reference
Expect presentation order will be adjusted for project installation based on submitted planning forms. 
All presentations to be made on a Transart Airbook with USB stick (see below).
The duration and ratio of time for presentation and receiving feedback are not flexible (see below).  
Electronic devices are not permitted during presentations (bring paper for notes).
Moderators will provide and collect index cards for additional comments.
Skype participants can only take a passive role in presentations - they can listen but will not be actively involved in critique.  
Your crit group is your go-to team for everything (install, de-install, tech, skype set-up, note taking, video, etc).
Everything is required unless marked OPT.

MFA Presentation formats
Total time per student is 45 minutes (15/30 - there is install/de-install time allocated morning, break and evening).
Choose the format you wish to use and your student moderator (if applicable) in advance. 
Note: please always call on assigned reviewers first.
Format options are:
1. Present 15 mins, then chosen student moderates discussion.
2. Present 15 mins, then chosen student moderates discussion. The presenter listens without responding.
3. Present and moderate discussion yourself.
4. Choose a student to present work and moderate discussion on your behalf.
5. Returning students should choose a different option to what they chose at the previous winter residency.
Your crit group is expected to help you install and de-install your work and record or take note for your presentation. 
(All presentation formats refer to presenter being in attendance. Presentations in absentia are not possible.)

MPH PHD Presentation formats
Total time per student is 60 minutes (20/40 - there is install/de-install time allocated morning, break and evening).
Choose the format you wish to use and your student moderator (if applicable) in advance.
Meeting sessions set aside for advisement are listed on the schedule below and are either before presentations commence in the morning or just after they end in the evening. 
At least one of your advisors will be present in person, your other advisor and commentators may participate by skype. 
Your class is expected to help you install and de-install your work and manage skype for advisors and commentators participating by skype. They will also record your presentations or take notes. 

Technical info
If using the video projector, you will present on the institute’s Mac powerbook (using Keynote or Prezi). Bring two memory sticks with your presentation; hold onto one for back up or to make changes. Check on another computer to be sure you have all your files.

Pre-residency
Review all presenting student Transart blogs in advance (make paper notes). Note clearly at the top of your blog if you want people to review time based work well before your presentation. Plan on using no more than 3-5 min. of your 15 min. presentation slot for time-based material.
