Bonnie Begusch

Bonnie Begusch is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work examines the intertwined relationship between text, tools and perception. After studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and Humboldt Universität, Berlin, she received her MFA from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. Recent awards include the Murphy & Cadogan Fellowship in the Fine Arts; Investing in Artists grant from the Center for Cultural Innovation, Los Angeles; UC Berkeley Arts Research Center Fellowship and residencies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture; Headlands Center for the Arts and Djerassi. Her work has been presented at such venues as the Berkeley Art Museum; Tape Modern, Berlin; Exile, Berlin; Vox Populi, Philadelphia; Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia; 92YTribeca, New York; Cabinet, New York and Public Fiction, Los Angeles. She has taught at San Francisco Art Institute, Drury University and UC Berkeley, where she received the Outstanding Teaching Award in 2010. She lives and works in Berlin.
